"This is a great local restaurant. We went for breakfast and it was so good [we] ended up booking for dinner too. This is an ideal restaurant to take older children too in the evening, as the kitchen was very flexible in providing something they would eat and smaller portions. The food was great, perfect beef fillet and rabbit. Service very friendly and their set menu is extremely reasonable at £12.95 for two courses."  Joanne Adlam

"This restaurant was recommended by a workmate and what a good choice it was! We arrived a bit late but were assured it wasn't a problem. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign, and spacious, which I need. The staff were very helpful and patient while describing the many food options on offer. I chose pâté (loads) and fillet steak (melt-in-your-mouth) while my better half had soup and chicken from the set menu. Without exception, the food was fabulous. We were looking forward to trying one of the many sweets on offer but just couldn't manage after the large main course. All in, with wine and a few drinks, was less than £60, which, in this area, is great value.

If you want good food at unbelievable prices and are looking to put the rip-off establishments behind you, then please go to Arthur's and give it a try, I promise you'll be back, which I will, with or without the wife."  AJ

We had the set menu at £9.95 for two courses, I had fishcakes (best I've ever had) with big fat home made chips!!! And my husband had chicken in a mushroom and wine sauce with mash. Don't miss the chocolate brownie with home made vanilla ice cream!"  ST

"We had a wonderful time as did all our guests. A truly relaxed and memorable party. The staff were fantastic and kept all the drink and food flowing in a very professional and cheerful manner. The paella was truly wonderful and we were all very impressed with the wonderful gas burner and gigantic paella pan. The venue was perfect and looked great with the banners, Moorish magic lanterns and red balloons. We let most of the balloons go and it was Jim's suggestion to leave a bunch in the expectation that you would give them to the children the next day.
